Why I Created this Site

I love hiking National Parks and places off the beaten path. I love to explore them alone or with someone I love. In 2020 I decided to take a long break from social media & news outlets due to the vile and disgusting behavior being displayed by so-called adults. I was so tired of hearing complaining, blaming, excuses, etc. that I needed a mental break. So I decided to let go. Let go of the negative people in my life. Let go of the mindless scrolling, latest news feed & toxic energy. I decided instead to journal my latest hikes since they have always brought happiness and peace of mind to my soul. I hope to inspire others to also let go and explore our amazing national, state and local parks in our beautiful country as well as in other places around the world. It's possible to find inner peace by simply unplugging and seeing the beauty around us.
